METALLICA Guitarist Talks 'Kirk's Crypt' In New 'Orion Music + More' Promotional Video

May 10, 2013

At the second annual Orion Music + More festival, a music and lifestyle festival created by METALLICA and their friends at C3 Presents, METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett, a collector of horror movie memorabilia, will once again host Kirk's Crypt, a haunted house stocked with posters, film props, vintage comics and custom guitars.

A new two-minute video clip in which Hammett talks about Kirk's Crypt can be seen below.

Explaining how he first got into horror movies, Kirk said: "[When I was] five years old, I sprained my arm so I couldn't go out and play. I was sequestered inside because I had to recover from my arm. [I] turned on the television; the first horror movie I've ever seen was on that night — 'The Day Of The Triffids'. I saw that movie and, from that point on, I was just hooked... Those are the type of movies I gravitated to."
